Get ready for a great month of live music, Vancouver. From holiday tunes from Holly Cole and Johnny Reid to the Baby Gravy Tour (Yung Gravy + bbno$), here are 10 of the best concerts coming to Vancouver this December.

Barenaked Ladies

The Ontario-born rock band that performed at the PNE this summer and is responsible for hits like “If I had a 1,000,000” and “Brian Wilson” is back in Vancouver on Thursday, December 1st.

This Canadian rock band was not only awarded four JUNO Awards, but was the first unsigned band to make the cover of Rolling Stone. So whether you’re a fan of the genre or just a fan of great music, this concert is a must-see this coming month.

Bob Schneider

Former lead singer of rock band Ugly Americans, Texas-based Bob Schneider had put out a dozen of albums, including The King Kong Suite, Lovely Creatures, A Perfect Day, and Burden of Proof.

Holly Cole

Not to be confused with Natalie Cole, Holly Cole is a Canadian jazz singer from Halifax known for her trio in her namesake group, The Holly Cole Trio. Her many accolades include three JUNO awards and multiple multi-platinum album sales awards. And she’ll be taking center stage this month at the PNE as part of their Holiday Night Concert series.

Fun fact: This American DJ and EDM producer originally turned down a full-ride athletic scholarship at Kent State University to pursue music. And boy, has he found his calling. All you dancers and ravers out there – you won’t want to miss this. Head to the Enso Event Centre on Saturday, December 10th.

Home Alone in concert

This year, you can see this holiday fave in concert in addition to your screen at home. The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra presents Home Alone in concert, performing renowned composer John Williams’ “charming and delightful score.”

American singer Kane Brown is bringing his Drunk or Dreaming Tour to Rogers Arena on Thursday, December 15th. And he’s come a long way since first capturing the public’s attention with his EP in 2015. His highly-anticipated third studio album was just released this September, and he even made 2021’s Time list of 100 most influential people in the world.

The Baby Gravy Tour featuring Minnesota-born Yung Gravy (Matthew Raymond Hauri) and Vancouver native bbno$ (Alexander Leon Gumuchian) is coming to the PNE this December, so snag those tickets while you can. The pair is known for collaborating on hit singles like “Wussup,” “Welcome to Chili’s,” “Whip A Tesla,” and “Rotisserie,” and most recently – on their new respective albums: Marvelous and Bag or Die.

Pink Martini

Crossing over into several genres including classical, Latin, pop, and jazz – Pink Martini is a cocktail of sounds and influences. The vocals are co-led by China Forbes and Storm Large, and the band was founded in 1994 in Portland by pianist Thomas Lauderdale.
