For some, the job grind never stops, but if you’re looking for greener pastures, a change of scenery may do you well. And in that case, we have the annual Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers (SMEs) for 2024.

The annual list was announced by Mediacorp Canada Inc., organizers of Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition, on Tuesday.

And to put it all together, the editors used the same eight criteria for the competition – Workplace; Work Atmosphere & Social; Health, Financial & Family Benefits; Vacation & Time Off; Employee Communications; Performance Management; Training & Skills Development; and Community Involvement.

Now in its 11th edition, the list continues to focus on smaller enterprises with under 500 employees and highlights “SMEs that are often resource-constrained, both in terms of finances and organizational capacity,” according to organizers.

“What’s remarkable about the employers on this year’s list is how quickly and effectively they’ve worked to create rewards and other programs developed from employee input,” said Kristina Leung, managing editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project.

“SMEs have enviable levels of customization, flexibility and speed-of-implementation that are difficult for larger employers to match.”

Here are just a few out of the many small and medium employers that made this year’s list:
