If a little weekend retreat has been on your mind, you don’t have to look too far! These new luxury micro-cabins in Kananaskis will have you waking up to scenic mountain views, and they’re only an hour from Calgary.
Skyridge Glamping is a unique experience offering luxury micro-cabin stays nestled in the forest and surrounded by snow-capped peaks. It’s the setting you’d want from a rustic escape but with all the modern amenities like fluffy hotel robes, free Wi-Fi, massage beds, and even a welcome gift!
Here’s everything you can expect if you decide to book a getaway!
Skyridge Glamping currently has one type of micro-cabin available to book, with a new addition coming this spring!
These private 302 sq. ft. cabins all feature stunning interiors with full kitchens and bathrooms — no outhouses here! King-size beds mean you’ll sleep like a baby while in-floor heating in the bathrooms will keep your toes warm on cool mornings.
The best part of any alpine escape is the views! The new SkyGlass cabins will have all the same interior perks, but with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer unobstructed views of the surrounding nature. Don’t worry, the windows appear mirrored from the outside, so no one can see you. SkyGlass is expected to open this spring, so stay tuned!
All the cabins at Skyridge Glamping share several communal amenities. Cozy up by the crackling firepit in the evenings, try outdoor gear from the borrowing closet, or find a weekend read from the book library. They’ve really thought of everything.
Glamp in comfort while you take advantage of everything Kananaskis has to offer:
The nearby Kananaskis Nordic Spa lets you relax in hot and cold pools, saunas, and steam rooms amidst the stunning mountain scenery. Stop by for some hot and cold therapy or book a luxury spa treatment.
Tee off at one of Kananaskis’ stunning world-renowned golf courses like Mt. Kidd Course and Mount Lorette Course.
Take a scenic guided tour on horseback! Boundary Ranch is a great place to find experienced guides who will take you through the backcountry while teaching you all about the area.
Whether you feel like an easy walk or a challenging multi-day excursion, you’ll find it in Kananaskis. Popular trails include Troll Falls, Grassi Lakes, and the Chester Lake Trail.
Grab a paddle and explore the waters of Barrier Lake or the Kananaskis River. If you don’t have your own gear, you can get rentals from Kananaskis Outfitters or Canadian Rockies Rafting.
Go on a morning adventure, and soak your tired muscles in the walk-in shower once you’re back! Some spots favoured by bikers include the Bill Milne Trail or the Station Flats Loop, but you might want to wait until the trails dry up a bit.
Who’s ready to get away?
