Feast your eyes on the prettiest views you’ve ever seen in Ontario! Sir Sam’s chairlift rides have officially begun for the season and they offer some of the best autumn vistas you’ll ever witness.

Running on several weekends this September and October, the chairlift rides allow you to see canopies of autumn leaves and shimmering blue lakes all at once.

You’ll be perched at the top of the hill and gazing out at the Eagle and Moose Lakes surrounded by red, orange, and gold hues.

In the winter, Sir Sam’s operates as a ski hill and in the warmer months, it’s a hiking and biking oasis.

The hiking trails will be open until Thanksgiving on Monday, October 9th,  which is just in time for the ski hill’s annual Autumn Festival on October 7th and 8th.

There will be a vendor market, live music, delicious bites, and sips in the beer garden, as well as a pumpkin patch and fun activities like a pumpkin slingshot.

Of course, there will also be chairlift rides running all weekend long from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Outside of the Autumn Festival weekend, the chairlift runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 4 PM except for on September 30th and October 14th, when it closes at 1:30 PM.

Sir Sam’s is also open for mountain biking until October 6th.

This spot is quite a trek from Toronto, so if you’re looking for a similar experience closer to home, you can hit up the autumn chairlift ride at Kelso Conservation Area this season.

Although, if you’re looking for a reason to head up to Ontario’s wilderness this autumn, this is definitely it!
