Vancouver’s beloved “beer bar” is opening a second location & here’s when

Fans of Sing Sing in Vancouver have some good news on the horizon. The beloved “beer bar” serving satisfying steamed buns, pho, pizza, and a variety of burgers and bowls is getting a second location in Vancouver!

Hospitality group Freehouse Collective announced that a second Sing Sing location will open on Commercial Drive, which was recently dubbed one of the ‘coolest streets in the world.

The news comes on the heels of a “nearly complete” CCAA restructuring at Donnelly Group, which has resulted in the sale of Yaletown bar Hello Goodbye, among other businesses.

The good news is this leaves plenty of room for the Sing Sing brand to expand in the coming months.

This includes Sing Sing’s first-ever location in Toronto, which is set to open sometime this summer.

“Sing Sing is a fan favourite, so we’re excited to have new partners and communities to house the brand,” says Harrison Stoker, Donnelly Group’s Chief Growth Officer.

Both its Vancouver and Toronto locations will open with the addition of weekend brunch, rotating natural and organic wines, and an all-new happy hour. So get excited!

In addition to delicious craft brews on tap, Sing Sing is known for its specialty cocktails, which range from ‘Ginbucha 2.0’ and the Aperol and tequila-based “Beautiful You.”

Opening & info

In an email with Curiocity, a representative from Donnelly Group confirms that the new Commercial location is set to open in early May 2024.

So there you have it, Vancouver. If you’re always vying for a spot at Sing Sing’s Main Street location, the good news is you’ll soon have another Sing Sing to check out.

Stay tuned for more info as it comes, including an official opening date!
