Every season is perfect for reading. But summer has to be up there if we do say so ourselves. After all, you can outside and enjoy fresh air while you explore new worlds through the words on your pages. Not only that, but here in Seattle, summer also means the Seattle Public Library & Seattle Arts & Lectures Book Bingo is back!
Book bingo is happening for the eighth year in a row, giving you yet another reason to pick up a book from the pile you probably have going in your house. You’ll be able to read books in five categories for bingo, or in all 25 squares for blackout, and enter to win big prizes. There are three grand prizes, one of which is a subscription to the 2022/23 SAL series of your choice.

Some of this year’s themes include “Outside Your Comfort Zone,” “Banned or Challenged Book,” “Blue Cover,” and “Sci-fi or Fantasy by a BIPOC Author.” You can also fill in squares for “Read Outside,” “Set Somewhere You’d Like to Visit,” “Set South of the Equator” and much more. It’s the perfect chance to read something new!
Best of all, all you have to do to participate is head over to the Seattle Public Library website and download your card. Enjoy summer book bingo and be sure to let us know what your book recommendations are this year.
