We all know the pandemic was hard for lots of markets. But it looks like Seattle’s housing market wasn’t too affected. In fact, Seattle topped the list of metro areas where homes sold the fastest during the pandemic.
We’re not really sure if this is surprising considering that Seattle’s housing market has been strong for a while. But with the uncertainty of the pandemic and its aftermath we’re glad to know that at least our housing market is still going strong. So strong that most homes in Seattle only spent an average of 10 days on the market.
Not too far behind Seattle comes nearby Portland, Oregon, with the rest of the rankings being a bit of a mishmash of places around the country.
Keep in mind that home prices were driven up and inventory was low, which means the data is definitely a little different than typical years. In fact, it looks like the pandemic probably made some Seattle buyers make speedier-than-normal decisions. After all, when you see a sweet deal you have to take it right?
