Single in Seattle? This news is sure to ward off at least some of your Monday blues. Why? Well because Seattle just ranked as one of the best cities in the nations for singles according to a new study. Let’s get into the details.

The new study comes from Zillow and they looked at “the top U.S. destinations best suited for relocating to meet other singles.” In order to determine rankings, Zillow looked at the 100 largest U.S. metros based on factors like the share of singles, available rental units and rent affordability for singles. They found that median rents ranged from $966 to $2,788 per month.

Here are the top ten in the ranking:

1. Wichita, KS
2. Austin, TX
3. Milwaukee, WI
4. Denver, CO
5. San Antonio, TX
6. Houston, TX
7. Dallas, TX
8. Seattle, WA
9. Washington, DC
10. Boston, MA

What makes this ranking somewhat interesting is that Seattle recently ranked as having one of the highest rent increases in the nation. As single individuals typically have a lower income than the average person, Seattle might not seem like the logical choice. But Zillow is proving us wrong.

After all, remote work is allowing people with all sorts of jobs to live wherever they please. If you’d like to check out the full study you can head over to Zillow’s website. Enjoy!
