You can enjoy a canoe adventure within the 2.5 km long lake and feast your eyes on the stunning scenery the area offers.

It’s important to note that Silent Lake is truly silent as no motorboats or electric motors are permitted. Talk about peace and quiet.

If you’re more of a land explorer, there are three trails to enjoy; Lakehead Loop Trail which is the shortest at 1.5 km; Bonnie’s Pond Trail at 3 km and Lakeshore Hiking Trail at 15 km which is designed for a more experienced hiker as it’ll take you six hours roundtrip to complete.

Though the majority of the lookout spots are located along Lakeshore Hiking Trail, walk along Bonnie’s Pond trail as it meets with the longer trail’s lookout point.

As for biking, the trail offers two loops; 11 km and 17 km in length. “Caution should be taken as the trail crosses the park road and is shared track in some portions. The trails are subject to closure during spring/wet conditions,” shared Ontario Parks.

Visitors can cool off by its sandy beaches. Its largest beach is located in the day-use area and includes a large grassy area for a picnic and the other beach is located in the Pincer Bay campground.

Now what are you waiting for? Start planning that summer escape and set your eyes for Silent Lake!
