Are you missing home this holiday season? If you’re looking to experience cozy, nostalgic vibes and feel like you’ve gone back in time to re-live Christmas again, this holiday market near Calgary was made for you.
This is one of the most charming farms near Calgary, and for nine seasons, they’ve lit things up with a holiday market so you can experience the magic of winter. The Saskatoon Farm offers cozy, country charm that will definitely make you feel like you’ve headed out of town for the holidays.
If you’ve had enough of the hustle and bustle of Calgary’s inner-city markets, the Saskatoon Farm’s 9th Annual Christmas Market is the antidote. Experience good ‘ol-fashioned holiday charm, the rustic way!
Walk-ins are welcome at the 9th Annual Christmas Market at the Saskatoon Farm in Foothills County. Kids even get in free.
This is the perfect opportunity to gather your friends and family for an outing in a prairie paradise. With over 200 local vendors, you’re bound to find a great gift for everyone in your life. Plus, you can gnosh on hot food and sip cozy drinks, all while you roam the grounds with outdoor firepits and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
You can also buy a freshly cut Christmas tree to bring home with you, and experience live ice carving at this winter wonderland. It’s fun for the whole family, with a kids’ play place with crafts, games, face painting, a bouncy castle, and live performances. Of course, the one and only Saint Nick and the lovely Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance.
This holiday event covers all the bases, and it has pretty much every activity you would want to take part in to feel festive this Christmas.
The market will take place over two weekends in late November and early December, so there are plenty of flexible options to plan your trip from Calgary. It takes under an hour to drive there, and it’s mostly a straight shot down Highway 2 south, toward Okotoks.
Going home for the holidays is magical, but this might be the next best thing. If you’re in the mood for some holly, jolly fun this season in the company of Saint Nick and his merry elves, don’t miss this holiday event.
