This is taking sandy shores to a whole new level! Sand Hill Park is home to 350-foot sand hills that you can explore along a beautiful beach. The park is family-owned and can be visited with a day pass or you can spend the weekend camping.

Sand Hill Park is located in Port Burwell in Elgin County about a two hour drive from Toronto.

The sand hills here are considered “the largest sand piles in Ontario,” boasting 350-feet above the shores of Lake Erie.

If you’re planning to climb to the top of the hills be sure to be careful and dress accordingly.

If heights or climbing aren’t your jam, stay along shore at the grounds East Beach and West Beach.

There’s plenty of other fun summer adventures and facilitates to get up to and use at Sand Hill Park including a basketball court, volleyball court, snack bar, band shell, shuffleboard, horseshoes, craft and activity barn, BMX track and playground.

During the months of July and August the park is open from 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

Reservations can be made from 9 AM-5 PM Wednesday-Sunday only so if you want to secure a spot you’ll have to do so then.

Daily fees are at $12 per adult while children 12 and under can access the grounds for free.
