Love baby animals? The RCMP’s ‘Name the Foal’ contest is officially open, and children aged 14 and under can come up with some seriously adorable name considerations.

The Musical Ride’s Breeding Program welcomed its newborn foals at the RCMP Breeding Farm in Pakenham, Ontario, and contest participants get to help name up to 12 of them!

This means that one day, the foals you name could be a part of the world-famous Musical Ride.

Starting Monday, April 8th, the contest is open to any youth residing in Canada, who must submit a name starting with the letter ‘A.’

The contest will be open until April 26th at 11:59 pm EST. Note that only one entry per child will be considered!

Interested in submitting a name? All entries can be submitted using this online form – including those on behalf of a class.

The RCMP Musical Ride will choose up to 12 winning names from across the country, which will be announced on their website between May and June.

Each child (and classroom) who wins will receive “great RCMP prizes,” according to the contest’s website.

So there you have it, hose enthusiasts! Stay tuned for the names chosen for the 2024 RCMP foals!
