Ontario has a gorgeous cliffside lookout surrounded by fall canyon views

Reach new heights and feast your eyes on scenic vistas. Venture to Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area in Ontario for its stunning cliffside lookout point and outdoor adventure.

According to Conservation Halton, this destination “will take your breath away,” and we couldn’t agree more. In the fall season, the surrounding landscape transforms into beautiful fiery reds and oranges of fall.

Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area has a number of trails such as the Nassagaweya Canyon Trail, the Vista Adventure Trail, and the Buffalo Crag Trail which is where you’ll find the gorgeous lookout.

Perched on the Niagara Escarpment, this scenic hike takes you to beautiful lookout points overlooking the Nassagaweya Canyon below and the vast countryside, which transforms into a palette of autumn colours this time of year.

According to Conservation Halton, Buffalo Crag Lookout Point has one of the best views on the escarpment.

Look up and see the Turkey Vultures soar over the landscape!

Another trail adventure is the Nassagaweya Trail connects Rattlesnake Point to the nearby Crawford Lake, which has a boardwalk around a fascinating and rare blue-green lake.

And if the name Rattlesnake Point makes you a bit worried about the presence of rattlesnakes, you have nothing to worry about.

The park was named Rattlesnake Point because, from above, the stretch of escarpment within the park looks like a snake, according to Conservation Halton.

So, grab those hiking shoes and hit the ground running. Head to Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area this fall season
