The Invictus Games training camp continues this week in Whistler, BC and the founder of the games Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are spending part of this week in BC showing their support, including on Valentine’s Day.

What are the Invictus Games?
Prince Harry founded the games back in 2014, created for wounded, injured or sick service personnel and veterans.
The 2025 games will be held in Vancouver and Whistler from February 8th – 16th, 2025, and will bring together over 500 competitors from over 20 nations to compete in adaptive sports, including the new winter sports: Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing, Skeleton, and Wheelchair Curling.
The core Invictus Games sports will also be included which consist of indoor rowing, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair basketball.

The couple has been spotted showing their support at the Invictus Games training camp happening this week at Whistler Backcomb Resort.
The couple has been in BC for the last couple of days, including on Valentine’s Day. While it isn’t clear what the couple did to celebrate the day of love, they’ve been keeping busy with the training camp.
The Invictus Games Foundation posted photos of the two to social media writing, “The Duke of Sussex along with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex today were introduced to some of the various forms of winter adaptive sport that the competitors will be experiencing next year at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025.”
According to the Invictus Games website, “The purpose of the training camp is to help the participating nations build year-round adaptive sports programmes. Members of the International Invictus Games Community, including team managers, coaches and competitors will receive instructions and guidance on how to guide their nations to the first winter hybrid edition of the Invictus Games.”
While the couple is in Whistler for training camp right now, residents can expect Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be in BC again for the games next year.
The husband and wife have made several appearances together at the Invictus Games, including the 2024 games in Germany.
