Popular YYC vegan Cafe makes major comeback thanks to the help of a Banff favourite

We love a good comeback story! Calgary vegans were devastated back in November when good and good for you resto, Dandelion Cafe announced that they were closing their doors permanently due to “current conditions,” but as we know all too well, things change!

Thanks to its new partnership with Banff’s Nourish Bistro, a like-minded spot in the heart of our favourite mountain town, the plant-based spot is back in action!

“We are very excited to announce The Dandelion door will be open again,” they said on their Instagram before opening last Tuesday.

For those who have never been, The Dandelion is a super cozy place, with an incredible accommodating menu and a 100% waste-free mentality. These folks focus on “good times, great drinks and refined indulgences,” and almost everything from their “milk” to their “cheese;” is made in-house, which we love. Plus they also have super tasty gluten-free options! Bonus!

Now before some of you start to panic it’s important to note that although they might be under a new umbrella, not much has changed. Sure they’re under a new name, have a few maybe a few new items and a couple of new specials, but it’s got the same great taste and for that, we can be thankful.

Honestly, folks, we’re pretty happy to see them reopen and can’t wait to check it out for ourselves. Heck, maybe we’ll see you there when they reopen for sit-down service.
