The lights, trees and snow-covered mountain tops sure are pretty, but eventually, you will have to come in from the cold.
This month, there’s no better place to forget about the unforgiving windchill than Calgary’s Plaza Theatre, where you can wet your whistle, jingle a few bells and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.

Hungry? Here are some of the coziest spots to grab comfort food in Calgary
A historic beaut in the heart of Kensington, the Plaza Theatre has been renewed, reinvented and reinvigorated, but remains a Calgary must-visit.
This December, however, you’ll want to check it out clad in your ugliest sweater.
Whether you’re a cinephile, holiday enthusiast or cocktail connoisseur, the NW staple will be a prime place to warm up from the inside out ahead of the 25th.
In addition to festive flicks, their Sidebar will feature themed drinks including a Bourbon Eggnog (Bulleit bourbon, Amaretto, egg nog, nutmeg), Krampus Spritz (Rhubarb and Ginger Gin, Elderflower Liqueur, Cranberry, Soda, lime), Yuletide Manhattan (Maple Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Dry Vermouth, Pimento Bitter) and a complex but surprising sip, the Feliz Navidad (Don Julio Blanco, Chartreuse, Basil, Grapefruit, lime).
Sound like a winter wonderland?
Between the 15th and the 21st, you can catch classics like Elf, Home Alone and Die Hard, as well as new releases like The Holdovers with Paul Giamatti and Dream Scenario with Nicolas Cage.
