Tucked along sandy beaches is an Ontario town bursting with wineries

Picton is one of Ontario’s most loved spring and summer destinations for a reason. This charming small town is home to sandy shores, wineries, and plenty of adorable places to stay. The time to plan your visit is now, and here’s what you need to know!

Picton is part of Prince Edward County in southeastern Ontario, about three hours from Toronto by car.

One of the area’s biggest attractions is Sandbanks Provincial Park. This Ontario park is known for its natural sand beaches and the world’s largest freshwater dune and sandbar formation. Sandbanks has three big, sandy beaches that some say are among the best in the entire country.

Outlet Beach is popular among families, with shallow, warm waters, and while beach days are fun, it’s time to hit the wineries.

Picton has a handful of options when it comes to vino-sipping spots, including:

Make your stay in Picton extra special by spending the night at one of the area’s beautiful stays.

The Picton Harbour Inn, June Motel, and Edgewater Bread and Breakfast are just a few options for adorable accommodations.

If you need a way to get around Picton, why not explore while getting some exercise? County Bike Rentals offers daily bike rentals in the area, making it easy and fun to get around.

The beautiful Picton awaits, Ontario.
