Banff’s iconic castle is hosting a Halloween party with cocktails and live entertainment

This month, the Fairmont Banff Springs is hosting Halloween at the Castle, an adults-only evening where you can sip cocktails, explore the historic space, and enjoy live entertainment all night long. The event takes place on Halloween night, with the Rundle Bar fully transforming for the occasion.

Now let’s take a further look at what’s planned for the evening.

What to expect at Halloween at the Castle

What is Halloween at the Castle?

Halloween at the Castle is an adults-only celebration taking place at the Fairmont Banff Springs on Oct. 31, 2026. According to the hotel, the event will be hosted at the Rundle Bar, which will be fully transformed for Halloween.

And don’t worry, you don’t need to stay at the Fairmont to attend; the event is open to outside visitors as well.

What can I do while I’m there?

The night will include live entertainment, Halloween-themed décor, cocktails, and an immersive space throughout the bar. You can move through different areas, snap photos, and enjoy a complimentary drink. And it wouldn’t be Halloween without the costumes, so feel free to go all out with your look for the night.

Since you’ll be spending time in one of Canada’s most historic hotels, you can also brush up on some of the spooky stories surrounding it. According to the Fairmont Banff Springs, the hotel is home to several ghostly legends, including the Ghost Bride, the mysterious “Missing Room,” and Sam the Bellman, who is said to have continued helping guests even after his death.

Of course, these are legends rather than confirmed paranormal encounters.

How much are tickets?

General admission is $95 per person and includes entry to Halloween at the Castle, access to the general areas, and one welcome drink. This option is standing and roaming, with no reserved seating.

For an elevated experience with a dedicated spot for the night, table and VIP options are also available. Table reservations include space for up to six guests, a $300 food-and-beverage credit, and one welcome drink per person. VIP reservations include premium table placement, a $500 food-and-beverage credit, and one complimentary drink per guest.

When is Halloween at the Castle?

Halloween at the Castle will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Where is the Fairmont Banff Springs?

The event will take place at Rundle Bar inside the Fairmont Banff Springs. If you’re driving from Calgary, take Highway 1 west toward Banff, then follow the signs into the townsite. From downtown Banff, the hotel is just a short drive away via Banff Avenue and Spray Avenue.

If you’re taking public transit, Roam Transit operates routes through Banff that connect the townsite with the Fairmont Banff Springs. However, it’s a good idea to check the schedule before heading out to the event.

If you’re looking to escape this city this Halloween, head to Banff for a night at the castle!
