A shucking good time: OysterFest kicks off this weekend with over 40 vendors

Love Oysters? We have somewhere for you to be this weekend. OysterFest is back for its 41st annual celebration of all things seafood. Here’s what to expect from this year’s tasty festival.

OysterFest attracts over 16,000 seafood enthusiasts annually. Because who doesn’t love locally raised and shucked oysters? Guests can enjoy “activities, entertainment, and delicious foods provided by local non-profits and volunteers.”

This year’s festival has oyster shucking competitions, over 40 food vendors with both seafood and non-seafood offerings, as well as a microbrew garden and wine pavilion. There’s also RV parking and camping on site and even two entertainment stages.

Admission is $10 a day or $16 if you plan to attend both Saturday and Sunday. Keep in mind food is not included in your admission price.
