One of Toronto’s most vibrant neighbourhoods is throwing a huge party to close out the summer. The Ossington Summer Send-Off is taking place this weekend and all are invited to stop by and end the season on a high note.

The pedestrian takeover on Ossington Avenue will stretch from Dundas Street West to Queen Street West.

Those who have attended OssFest can expect a similar celebration this time around, and this time it will be all about highlighting the area’s local businesses.

This event is “meant to encourage curiosity to be explored, try some new restaurants, pop into a shop that you have always wondered about,” says a description from Ossington BIA.

The party will start at 11 AM and continue until midnight!

Ossington was recently named one of the coolest streets in the world, so it’s safe to say that this street-wide celebration will be pretty spectacular.

There are a number of late-summer festivals to check out in September.

September is also TIFF season in the city and in addition to film premieres and celebrity-studded red carpets, an exciting street festival will run for the first several days of TIFF on King Street West.

Another neighbourhood-wide festival series is running until the fall — Kensington Market’s Pedestrian Sundays take place on the last Sunday of every month until October.

Summer may be coming to a close next month, but here in Toronto, the motto is “It’s not over ’til it’s over.”

We’ll see you at the summer send-off, friends!
