The sun is partially out, Vancouver—you know what that means. Time to book some quality patio time and sip on some delicious cocktails and mocktails.
And, OpenTable just released its latest edition of the Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Canada, with 9 of them being in Vancouver.
As it stands, Ontario leads the way with 62 of Canada’s best restaurants for outdoor dining, followed by BC with 21, Alberta with 15, and Quebec with two. The rankings are based on verified diner reviews on the platform that pertain to specific categories, from the most romantic restaurants to the best brunch spots.
Without further ado, here are the 9 Vancouver restaurants that made the cut:
This critically-acclaimed spot serves up delicious seafood-focused dishes curated by Executive Chef Roger Ma and his culinary team. Come for the eggs benny, stay for the seafood tower and yam crackers.
Where: 845 Burrard Street
Serving a lot more than just steak (although to be fair, it is made from the finest Canadian Prime beef), Gotham Steakhouse features sky-high ceilings, a luxurious feel, and some of the best cocktails money can buy.
Enjoy a negroni on their patio followed by a filet mingon. You deserve it.
Where: 615 Seymour Street
It’s no surprise that Homer Street Cafe & Bar is on this list. Nestled between two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, this pick is the epitome of classy meets comfort food.
The historic Homer building features reclaimed factory windows and antique tiling, coupled with the minimalist newness of the Beasley building. Foodwise, you can’t go wrong with any of their rotisserie dishes.

With over 35 years of top-notch service, food, and ambience, we can certainly see why Joe Fortes is a celebrity hotspot in Vancouver. 30-foot high ceilings are met with the finest and freshest ingredients that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Where: 777 Thurlow Street
Sushi in Vancouver is always a good idea, but if you want to take your dining experience to the next level with authentic, Aburi cuisine, then Miku is definitely your pick.
Where: 200 Granville Street #70
Miku’s sister restaurant Minami is just as innovative, with flame-seared, charcoal smoked sushi for a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
