In the past year there has been all sorts of talk about careers, jobs and work place environments. We’ve heard terms like the ‘Great Resignation’ and dealt with all sorts of delays due to workforce shortages. All that aside it turns out that Seattle and Washington as a whole are pretty great places to be if you’re looking to start a career.
WalletHub looked at job prospects predominantly for recent graduates. In order to determine their rankings they looked at 27 key metrics, examining the market strength and overall livability of more than 180 US cities. So here’s a look at the best and worst places to start a career in the US.

Seattle wasn’t the only local city to make the list, Tacoma also made the list at #34. While much lower than Seattle, Tacoma actually ranked in first place for highest monthly average starting salaries. So it looks like our two port cities are pretty great places to live.
