What To Expect
The Ontario Science Centre has a number of ongoing exhibits running at all times!
KIDSPARK –A learn-through-play space that offers science fun for the Science Centre’s youngest visitors! Build your own roller coaster, rock out in a music studio and blow giant bubbles. For kids eight and under and their caregivers.
SPACE HALL – The Space Hall gives you an out-of-this-world experience! Featuring a state-of-the-art planetarium, meteorites from Mars, cosmic rays, black holes and a space chair that’s really a rocket.
THE PLANETARIUM – Toronto’s only public planetarium! Sit back for a fantastic voyage through the universe to learn more about our cosmic neighbours. There is a variety of shows, including one just for kids under five and their caregivers.
A QUESTION OF TRUTH – Explore how beliefs and biases can influence scientific research and test controversial theories related to race, gender, and culture.
THE ASTRAZENECA HUMAN EDGE – Explore the potential and limits of the human body. Plunge into the mind of a free diver, grapple with a climbing wall and see what it takes to summit Everest. Discover how your body deals with danger and find out what’s humanly possible for you.
COHON FAMILY NATURE ESCAPE – Step outside into the heart of the Don River Valley ravine. With a giant Baltimore oriole nest, live moss graffiti and a slide carved from a fallen 125-year-old Eastern White Pine, it’s a unique experience you won’t forget. Open seasonally.
THE HOT ZONE – The HotZone is the place to pose questions, debate answers, scan headlines, view events and get the real story via multiple screens and live stage presentations.
THE LIVING EARTH – Stroll through the TELUS Rain Forest and try to spot the poison dart frogs. Touch a tornado, crawl through a cave and check out a coral reef for an amazing natural science experience.
SCIENCE ARCADE – A visitor favourite since it opened in 1969! You’ll soon discover this classic hall has more than meets the eye.
WESTON FAMILY INNOVATION CENTRE – From activities that hone your innovation skills to exciting new materials and media tools to citizen science projects and problem-solving challenges, the Weston Family Innovation Centre inspires you to take experimentation to a whole new level.
FOREST LANE – Forest Lane is a passageway filled with nature, art and the science of forestry and trees. Discover Canadian forests, visit a 464-year-old Douglas fir with a historical timeline marking world events during its life, and more.
CELEBRATION WAY – Start your visit in Celebration Way and explore how several fields of science have evolved since The Ontario Science Centre first opened its doors. Be inspired for the rest of your Science Centre visit with this new entryway experience.
