If you love a good view and aren’t afraid of heights, BC is probably one of the best places ever (in our humble, unbiased opinion) to go on a hot air balloon ride. This summer, you can take to the skies with Okanagan Ballooning and experience la creme de la creme of the Okanagan Valley. From sweeping views of the lakes and vineyards in Kelowna to the country farms of Armstrong, there will be plenty of unparalleled photo-ops on your journey.

The good news is that flights are year-round, so even if you’re not able to make it out this summer, you can still get in on the fun. Besides, who wouldn’t want to see the beautiful reds and oranges of fall from above??

Okanagan Ballooning is family-owned and operated, and has been flying out of the Okanagan Valley for almost 20 years. They currently operate a 6-passenger balloon named Aurora, which can be in the sky anywhere between 45 minutes to 2 hours per ride, depending on the weather. Pilot John Klempner has been a keen “ballooner” (a term we just coined) since 1994, acquiring his Transport Canada Pilot’s License in 1997.

Follow Okanagan Ballooning’s adventures via their socials and consider booking a ride if you’re keen on the experience! This would be an amazing fall date idea, if you ask us.

Although the company is based in Kelowna, guests can fly over Vernon, BC for an extra $75. Standard flights cost $425-450 per person, or you can book a romantic 3-hour flight for two for $1,750.

We hope you take to the skies & enjoy a hot air balloon ride, folks!
