Get ready, acai lovers. Brazil’s number-one acai brand and superfood hub is opening not one, not two – but five new locations in Vancouver this year, just in time for the warmer months.

OAKBERRY offers guests a fresh acai experience, serving nutritious and delicious acai smoothies and bowls, with locations in more than 30 countries so far, including the U.S., Portugal, Australia, Peru, Spain, and more.

Western Canada locations

Now, the brand plans to expand to Western Canada, with five new spots in Vancouver alone, and five additional locations in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The first Vancouver store to open will be in Kitsilano at 3139 West Broadway, which is set to open its doors in late spring, according to a release. This spot marks the brand’s second Western Canadian expansion, following a store opening in Calgary planned for mid-May.

“We are beyond excited to bring OAKBERRY to Vancouver, a city that embraces a wellness mindset and appreciates fresh, nutritious ingredients,” says Carter Friesen, Master Franchisee for Western Canada. “We can’t wait for people to taste this delicious superfood this summer and to see what all the hype is about.”

According to the release, OAKBERRY offers customers the chance to create and customize their own acai bowls (priced from $11.45 to $17.99) and smoothies (priced from $9.99 to $15.99) in small, medium, and large options.

Best of all? OAKBERRY bowls will offer unlimited toppings, each layered between delicious, fresh acai. From fresh fruits like bananas, strawberries, and blueberries to granola, cacao nibs, and chia seeds – there’s plenty to choose from!

By contrast, OAKBERRY smoothies come with up to three toppings, which make for an easier-to-drink option if you’re on the go.

Vancouver stores

The Kitsilano spot will be followed by locations in Gastown and Cambie Village, as well as an OAKBERRY kiosk at The Post building downtown on West Georgia Street. Opening just in time for beach season in Vancouver’s West End is one final OAKBERRY signature store.

So there you have it, Vancouver. If you’re been craving acai during these hotter-than-usual spring days, just know your options are about to get even wider!

We’ll see you at OAKBERRY.
