This Ontario Park has 2,000 metres of sandy beaches to discover

The beach is calling! North Beach Provincial Park is the ultimate destination if you’re ready to lounge by the water now that the warm weather has started to move in. The Ontario Park opens before summer and here’s what to do while you’re there.

Located in Prince Edward County, you’ll want to put this Ontario Park on your spring/summer road trip list.

North Beach Provincial Park is made up of two different beach areas making up 2000 metres of sandy shore!

The North Beach offers 1,200 metres of beach facing Lake Ontario with another 800 metres of beach on North Bay.

Besides lounging on the beach, there are plenty of other activities to get up to while visiting.

The spot is known for hosting a variety of birds such as hawks, Saw-whet Owls, and Turkey Vultures, making it a great place to try birding!

There’s also an opportunity to try your hand at fishing.

Those visiting North Beach could catch Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, perch and sunfish. Personal flotation devices are available for loan at the park as well.

And if you’re making a day of it you gotta make sure you fuel yourself.

North Beach is a great place to have a picnic on a summer day! Picnic tables are conveniently located along the beach fronts and the park has a small canteen as well.

The canteen is located on the park’s main road where traditional fast food and beverages can be purchased along with park souvenirs.
