Vancouver and B.C. at large are blessed with no shortage of green spaces, offering residents and tourists alike some spectacular spots to immerse themselves in nature. Whether it’s to decompress, get inspired, or simply get your steps in, a stroll through a botanical garden is always a good idea, and there’s no better time than spring to see what’s growing. In a recent study by Premier Inn, the world’s “most vibrant” gardens are ranked according to their rich colours (analyzed by AI-powered colour analysis), satellite imagery, and times of year when the most plants are blooming.
The ranking assesses 156 popular gardens worldwide, calculating their “vibrancy score” based on the aforementioned factors.
In terms of the world’s most vibrant gardens, Europe tops the list with eight of the top 10 most vibrant gardens in the world, five of which are in the U.K. In the #1 spot is Kensington Palace Gardens, which received a vibrancy score of 254. Kew Gardens ranks in a close second with a score of 250, followed by Scotland’s Inveraray Castle and Gardens in third.
The Rosedal de Palermo gardens in Argentina rank fourth, making them the highest-ranked garden outside the U.K. and Europe. While North America’s gardens don’t rank among the top 40 globally, the study recognizes them for their “beautiful blooms and winding paths.”
