Here’s where to catch New Year’s Eve fireworks in British Columbia

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner – if you can believe it – and we’re ready to ring in 2025 with a festive celebration outside of the city. From Grouse to Kelowna, here’s where firework hopefuls can catch a dazzling display of NYE fireworks in British Columbia.

Valley First New York New Year’s – Kelowna

This family-friendly celebration is one of the only free, all-ages New Year’s Eve events in the area, and it’s always a great time. Held at Stuart Park and the Kelowna Community Theatre, Valley First New York New Year’s is a great option for those living or visiting the Okanagan around the holidays, with live entertainment, public skating, a “Snow Zone,” and fireworks at 9 p.m.

When: 9 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2024
Where: Stuart Park, Kelowna
Cost: Free admission

New Year’s Eve Celebrations at Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks Resort is also hosting a NYE celebration with a live DJ performance building up to the NYE Freestyle invitational, which features a special build at the base of the mountain to showcase Sun Peaks’ local talent. There will also be a Kids Glow Stick Parade down lower Sundance before the iconic Torchlight Parade.

Of course, the grand finale is a dazzling fireworks display against the stunning mountain vistas, commencing at 8:45 p.m.

According to Sun Peaks, the best location for prime viewing is just outside the Village Day Lodge at The Base Area, between the Sundance and Sunburst Express Chairlifts.

When: 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2024
Where: Sun Peaks Resort
Cost: Free admission

New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Revelstoke

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is sending off the last night of 2024 with fireworks in the Village, accompanied by complimentary hot chocolate and cozy fires in the Spectator Zone.

When: 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2024
Where: Revelstoke Mountain Resort
Cost: Free admission

New Year’s Eve at Grouse

Last but certainly not least, we come to Grouse Mountain, which is hosting a ton of NYE festivities and specials at the Peak of Vancouver. In addition to a five-course dinner at The Observatory and discounted bubbles and complimentary popcorn at Altitudes Bistro, visitors can check out a magical outdoor Light Walk and enjoy a spectacular show of fireworks at the mountaintop Skating Pond.

The mountain will be open to skiing and riding from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with admission included in your Mountain Admission Ticket, Lift Ticket, Annual Pass, or Winter Season Pass.

When: 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2024
Where: Grouse Mountain
Cost: $40 to $80 per person for Mountain Admission Ticket

And that’s a wrap, for now, Vancouver! If you’re hoping to ring in the new year with a dazzling display, these are some solid options.

Happy almost 2025!
