The time has come, YYC! After an entire month of watching brand new eateries open for delivery under the cloak of Alberta’s COVID restrictions, tomorrow, June 1st, we will finally be able to hit the patios again! In celebration of the year’s sunniest season here are just a few new highly anticipated restaurants in Calgary that we’ll finally be able to check out starting this week! It’s going to be a tasty month, friends!

Described as ‘Kensington’s hippest little bar,’ the new eatery, which is aptly named Top Notch, is a funky little spot that believes a good time shouldn’t have to cost a fortune, an arm or a leg! From their cocktails and beer to their ‘adult’ Slurpees, burgers and other delightful bites, everything on their menu will only cost you $8. Wowza! Check them out, YYC!

With happy hour specials, $6 margaritas and $5 beer, monster nachos and more, Vegan Street’s second resto of the same name, is a tasty plant-based spot that you definitely have to check out this week. Bonus – Restaurants set to open later this month:

When one beerhall closes, another opens. Located on the corner of 4th Street and 25th Avenue SW (previously WURST), this Carolina-Style BBQ hall and brewery will have amazing food, great drinks and a stage on its lower level. We can’t wait!

Restaurants with unconfirmed spring opening dates:

We’d be lying if we said that we didn’t miss 17th Avenue’s Royale and its 5-star decor, but that certainly doesn’t mean we’re not incredibly excited for a new restaurant to breathe some life back into the space. This sunny season, grab a drink and celebrate new beginnings at Porch YYC, a modern nostalgia resto and a Red Mile Staple-to-be.
