Happy National Pizza Day, Vancouver! With so many amazing pizza-by-the-slice options around town, it’ll be easy to swing by your favourite spot for some ‘za sometime today or over the weekend to celebrate. And if you’d rather indulge in more than just a couple of slices, there are plenty of Italian restaurants to cozy up in, too.

Here are some tasty features and deals you can check out in Vancouver on National Pizza Day (Friday, February 9th).

DL Chicken & Pepino’s “The Hot Chicken Pizza”

Commercial Drive neighbours DL Chicken and Pepino’s Spaghetti House are bringing back their fan favourite collab, The Hot Chicken Pizza, just in time for National Pizza Day. The special will be available for one week from Friday, February 9th to Friday, February 16th, so you’ll have a bit of time to enjoy it!

The Hot Chicken Pizza ($45 per pizza) consists of house-made dough smothered in tomato sauce and mozzarella, Pecorino Romano, and Grana Padano cheeses. Prepared in Detroit-style deep dish, it’s loaded up with spice-dusted chicken nuggets, pickles, and DL’s signature sauce.

Interested in trying it out? You can order the pizza solo or as a combo with drinks at Pepino’s for take-out or dine-in.

Gastronomy Gastown

Ready to snag a delicious handcrafted pizza and a choice of bubbles for $25? Gastronomy in Gastown is offering guests their choice of the following pizzas and either a 12 oz Peronoi or 5 oz of prosecco:

Hot Hawaiian: Fire-roasted ham and pineapple with a hot honey drizzle and fresh parsley
Marge: Pomodoro, Fior di latte, basil, and extra virgin olive oil
Pot Head: Genoa salami, hemp-soaked fingerling potatoes, sous vide egg yolk, preserved lemon cream, truffled pecorino cheese, & toasted hemp seeds
