Canada is home to stunning landscapes, wildlife, bustling cities, and now beautiful buildings. A new ranking has listed the most beautiful buildings in the world and one Canadian city was named among them.

Home project website, Angi compiled a new ranking, identifying buildings with the most “mentions to be the most beautiful” via TripAdvisor. They looked at reviews from 132 countries and every U.S. state to put the list together.

Well, the final ranking found that Barcelona’s Basilica de la Sagrada Familia is the world’s most beautiful building, with 16,104 mentions of the word “beautiful” in TripAdvisor reviews, according to Angi.

France’s Cathedrale Notre-Dame came in second with 12,931 mentions on TripAdvisor. Out of the 20 buildings listed, Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica was ranked sixth.

The Canadian building had 7,746 mentions on TripAdvisor and just so happened to be the only Canadian name to make the list.

This past year, Montreal has been recognized quite a few times in a few rankings and lists. Back in November, Montreal was the only Canadian city to make the most sustainable travel destinations in the world list.

And back in October, Montreal was the only Canadian city to be listed in the world’s best cities for expats to work and live.

Montreal just keeps winning!
