Did you know you can wander through picturesque canyons and cliffs an hour outside of downtown Toronto? Mono Cliffs Provincial Park is a popular day trip destination all year round and once you see the photos, you’ll understand why.
The park is located in the town of Mono, along the Bruce Trail. It’s also part of the Niagara Escarpment Parks System and the escarpment Biosphere Reserve.
This park has a breathtaking spillway trail that takes you right through a canyon, clifftops, and 30-metre rock faces.
You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into the centre of the canyon as you make your way along the path.
The 1.3 km trail won’t take very long to complete, so you will want to savour every moment.
There are many other trails along the escarpment at this park, ranging from short and scenic to long and leisurely.
