There’s a “Tour de Donut” happening this month & here’s how to participate

As you may know, it’s Bike Everywhere Month and that means it’s time for Seattleites to hit the road. While biking obviously has many health benefits, Mighty-O Donut’s is also stepping in to give you a little encouragement. Here’s how to partake in the Tour de Donut.

As the month’s name suggests, the goal is to bike around town as much as you can. The official Bike Everywhere Day is May 19th and there are going to be celebration stations scattered around the city. As we get closer to the date, an interactive map will go live showing where to celebrate nearest to you.

The Tour de Donut is on May 20th, beginning at 9:30 AM at the Ballard Mighty-O location. It’s a self guided tour that you need to pre-register for but doing so gives all sorts of benefits. Keep in mind, there is a map so don’t worry about getting lost on your way to the next Mighty O Donut’s.

Your ticket includes a free Mighty-O Tour de Donut T-shirt, and a free donut and coffee at each stop of the five Mighty-O stops.

Participants can stop at one, or all locations and receive their goodies. You are also welcome to alter the route in other ways as needed.

All profits from the Tour de Donut will go to Bike Works, an organization that promotes the bicycle as a vehicle for change, to empower youth and build resilient communities.

Keep in mind the tour must be done on bike, helmets are required and is family friendly with kids drinks available as well.
