McDonald’s drops a menu item in collaboration with the Toronto Raptors

McDonald’s is launching a new, limited-time-only menu item in collaboration with the Toronto Raptors and one of their star players. Can you guess what it is? And P.S., it’s only available in Ontario.

Introducing the new Siakam Swirl McFlurry! Yup, that’s right. The fast-food chain and the Toronto Raptor’s Pascal Siakam have partnered up to create the sweetest menu addition. It is inspired by Siakam’s iconic spin move and the Raptor’s team colours.

The new McFlurry treat features their creamy vanilla soft serve, decadent hot fudge, and crushed Red SMARTIES.

“I have been a fan of McDonald’s since my first bite, and the McFlurry was actually the first menu item I’d ever tasted. To now have my own McFlurry flavour is wild!” said Siakam.

“The Siakam Swirl McFlurry combines all my favourite flavours into one. I love that it represents Raptors colours, my signature swirl move and is a product with Canadian roots.”

This isn’t the only collab the McDonald’s Canada and the Toronto Raptors have together.

Fans can take part in the Beyond the Arch program at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Ontario for a free medium fries order.

How? Well, make sure you’re registered for the free McDonald’s app first, and place a minimum purchase of $1 before taxes from 11:00 AM to 4:00 AM the day after the Raptors score 12 or more three-pointers in a game, to get your free fries.

According to McDonald’s, each three-pointer made by the Raptors during the 2022-23 season will see a donation of $133 made to MLSE’s Change the Game initiative, up to $200,000.

As for the Siakam Swirl McFlurry, it will be available for a limited time only at participating restaurants in Ontario.

“Partnering with Pascal was a natural fit for McDonald’s Canada. From his first experience with McDonald’s, to both the McFlurry and Toronto Raptors being Canadian-made and our ongoing partnership with the team – all signs pointed to Pascal,” said Chuck Coolen, Eastern Canada Marketing Lead, McDonald’s Canada.

“From the new Power of 3’s initiative, to the fan favourite Beyond the Arch program, to the new Siakam Swirl McFlurry, we’re constantly looking for new ways to help fans enjoy their Raptors’ experience.
