Our city’s favorite trillionaire is back again with some heartwarming philanthropy. But in all seriousness, Jeff Bezos did a good thing. In fact, he helped Mary’s Place open the largest family homeless shelter in Washington state. And that’s nothing to scoff at.

This shelter was of course made possible by a partnership with Mary’s Place. This local organization joined Jeff Bezos to open an 8-floor shelter inside one of the Amazon buildings. And not only is this a shelter but it also has a health clinic and offers critical tools to help families get back on their feet.

We’re really hoping that this sort of action becomes mainstream in Amazon’s further building plans. Because imagine how much good could be done if every Amazon building in Seattle had a social service like Mary’s Place. Or what if they did this globally? It could have a huge impact on communities around the world.

So for now we’re celebrating this big win for Mary’s Place and thanking Mr. Bezos for his generosity. If you’d like to learn more, click here. And remember, this is an excellent time to check in on members of your community who may be vulnerable. Because it’s never too late to extend a helping hand.JTNDZGl2JTIwaWQlM0QlMjJtb2JpbGUtYWQtb25seSUyMiUzRSUwQSUzQyUyMS0tJTIwU2VhdHRsZSUyMC0lMjBNb2JpbGUlMjAtLSUzRSUwQSUzQ2lucyUyMGNsYXNzJTNEJTIyYWRzYnlnb29nbGUlMjIlMEElMjAlMjAlMjAlMjAlMjBzdHlsZSUzRCUyMmRpc3BsYXklM0FibG9jayUzQndpZHRoJTNBMzIwcHglM0JoZWlnaHQlM0E1MHB4JTNCJTIyJTBBJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwZGF0YS1hZC1jbGllbnQlM0QlMjJjYS1wdWItNTUyMTg1Njk1NTQ5NzQ1NiUyMiUwQSUyMCUyMCUyMCUyMCUyMGRhdGEtYWQtc2xvdCUzRCUyMjE2MjcxNzI5NDclMjIlM0UlM0MlMkZpbnMlM0UlMEElM0MlMkZkaXYlM0U=
