The first tulip forest in Canada will bloom an hour from Vancouver

Spring will soon grace Vancouver with warmer temperatures and brighter days, which means it’s time to make plans for outdoor activities.

That’s why floral fans are excited about the opening of Canada’s first tulip forest at Maan Farms in Abbotsford.

Just an hour’s drive from Vancouver, the new Tulip Forest experience is part of Maan’s Spring at the Farm, with adorable animals, interactive fresh-air activities, dog-friendly days, and more.

“When we added the forest to our farm a few years ago, the safe choice would have been to clear space for traditional crops. However, we feel that farming is about taking risks and trusting your gut,” said Amir Maan in a release.

“We decided to take a chance on blending agriculture with the area’s untouched beauty. First came the Forest Pumpkin Patch and now, we are sharing the Tulip Forest. Everything we develop is to give our guests beautified areas to create meaningful moments.”

The Fraser Valley destination welcomes guests to explore two acres of stunning tulip blooms with a forest backdrop. There will also be several photo installations, including a mysterious mushroom house, a “Hop Into Spring” sign, a kissing booth, swings, an oversized chair, and butterfly wings.

Maan Farms will also host its Baby Animal Easter Days (BAE Days) for select dates in April. Not only will you get to feast on the farm’s best eats and Easter treats, but you can also get some face-to-face time with baby farm animals.

Your ticket gets you a chance to meet baby bunnies, ducklings, chicks, calves, goats, and piglets. Plus, you’ll have a chance to win the big prize of a golden egg.

Mama Maan’s Country Kitchen will also be open this spring, and there will be two new seasonal treats to try — lemon mini donuts and carrot cake. Bring your appetite for signature dishes like butter chicken, classic Canadian poutine, gourmet pizzas, and the limited-edition wine, Flora.
