The moon is up to something big! Whether you’re a junior astronomer, a casual viewer or are in the market for a unique date idea, dress warm and look up for a stunning lunar eclipse over North America this month.

Visible to those in the USA, Canada, South America, Australia and much of Asia, this particular celestial event is not to be missed – especially by photographers and stargazers.

For a full 85 minutes (depending on your location), the Earth’s rocky neighbour will glow red in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 8th, so sleep while you can in preparation.

Really, the only thing that can really ruin an event such as this one, is a cloudy sky – but never fear!

If you do live in an area where the sky is grey (or you just really need your sleep) – you can also live stream or rewatch the entire lunar eclipse.
