Built entirely of snow and ice, Canada’s Hotel de Glace is easily one of the most unique places to stay in all of North America.

Sadly (as you can imagine) their meticulously carved caves are only open to the public in colder months but – that time has nearly come!

As long as the weather cooperates, and it’s as chilly as it can be, Canada’s coldest venue will reopen to the public on January 4th, 2024, according to its official website.

Though there are a few things you need to take into consideration before you book your stay.

With in room-temperatures between 3°C and 5°C, guests should wear fleece, wool and multiple layers throughout the duration of their trip – though that’s not to say they’ll be perma-cold on their trip.

In addition to firepits and places, including a short course on how to stay toasty, guests will be able to warm up in their Nordic-style spa, so don’t forget to bring a bathing suit!

From frozen bars and icy artwork, this place really is one of the most incredible destinations in the entire country so if you’ve got a few vacation days to blow (and some money in the bank) definitely check it out.

There’s nothing like it in all of North America (quite literally)…. it’ll just cost you about $399 per night.
