We’re not crying, you’re crying. Kyle Lowry released his goodbye letter to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday and it’s as sappy as you think it is. The GROAT posted the 3-page note on Instagram thanking everyone who made these past 9 seasons so memorable.

“This is hard to write but the time has come for the next chapter in my story to begin. But the bond I share with you is unbreakable,” he wrote. “The city of Toronto embraced me from the jump! The excitement, the enthusiasm, the hope!”

Lowry wrote that he will always have ties to the city and Canada, and went on to thank the people within the organization who allowed him to become the player he is today, including President Masai Ujiri, former head coach Dwane Casey, Nick Nurse, the medical staff and even Drake who “helped get the love from the world that we deserved.”

Of course, he also had to give a big shout-out to DeMar DeRozan, his former Raptors teammate and lifelong BFF. “I wouldn’t have been able to build the relationship I’ve been able to build with him without this city,” he wrote.

The player reassured fans that the team “is in good hands” with Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby and Fred VanVleet. “I’ve legit gave blood, sweat, tears and everything I could,” he concluded. “Thank you Toronto, thank you Canada, this will forever be HOME!!!”

Needless to say, the post is completely flooded with comments from heartbroken fans and other players wishing him well. “Can’t believe it my brother you will be missed,” Drake wrote. “Thank you for all of those incredible years…see you in Turks.”

Lowry is heading to Florida to play for the Miami Heat. It’ll be a trip to see him on the court without a Raptors jersey on, but all good things must come to an end.
