This BC lake is a picturesque swimming hole surrounded by forest

With the long weekend coming up next week, it’s a great time to start planning some day trips if you haven’t already. And if you’re looking for a spot in the Whistler area that’s lesser known, you can’t do much better than the serene Lost Lake Park, which is just a short drive/shuttle from Whistler Village.

The year-round park offers visitors the chance to swim in the crystal-clear waters of a glacier-fed lake, all the while surrounded by lush forest.

During the summer months, visitors can picnic on the park’s sandy shores, explore an extensive trail network, and enjoy an off-leash dog beach at Canine Cove.

In terms of amenities, there are swim docks, BBQ stands, picnic tables, a disc golf course, and slackline posts to take advantage of. Oh, and food concession and rotating food trucks at select times.

Free shuttle

Note that there’s a free shuttle service from Whistler Village to the park running daily all summer long, making it that much easier to access the park.

The free Lost Lake Shuttle #8 runs daily until through Labour Day (September 4th) between 11 am and 7 pm.

So there you have it, Vancouver! If you’re looking for a new go-to spot for the family this summer, look no further than Lost Lake.
