LOCAL Public Eatery is pretty much Vancouver’s bread & butter when it comes to the food & beverage scene. Relaxed patio dining, delicious happy hour specials, and tasty plates of finger food that are always better shared.

Whether you’re after weekend brunch or a couple of catch-up drinks, there’s something for everyone at LOCAL – and now, the Vancouver-born eatery is expanding to the River District.

This marks the restaurant’s third location in Vancouver, which is set to open at the end of this month.

The new spot

As for some standout features of the new location, guests can expect to enter large garage doors for an indoor/outdoor feel. As well, fans can catch a game on the big screen, and large groups can enjoy premium tequila and spirits in the ‘Trophy Room.

“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the amazing River District community,” says Chelsea Kohlruss, General Manager of LPE River District. “It’s so vibrant and magnetic, and we’re grateful to have experienced a warm welcome from some of the friendly faces we’ve already met. We can’t wait to meet the rest of our new neighbours!”

According to the release, the eatery’s design reveals a mezzanine floor, named the ‘Trophy Room,’ which will offer premium tequila and spirits for larger groups and celebrations.

The sips

Now, for the delicious nitty gritty. LOCAL’s new spot is bringing all the specialty cocktails you know and love from other locations, as well as 16 rotating taps of craft beer, and wine pitchers as per the “wine without rules” motto.

And if you’re looking for something unique, you can always take a shot of rosé or indulge in a tipsy tea party by ordering a pot of “Cold Tea.”

The eats

In terms of bites, guests can expect to see tons of classic LOCAL fare on the menu, from the Truffle Cheeseburger and Calabrian Caesar Salad to the #1 Ahi Tuna Poké Bowl.
