There’s a new European art hotel inspired bar & cafe in Toronto

Toronto’s Corktown is now home to an eclectic European-style cocktail bar and cafe. Lisbon Hotel is the latest addition to the city’s restaurant scene and here’s what to know.

Using European art hotels as inspiration, Lisbon Hotel offers guests a cozy dining experience within a light-filled space adorned with Persian rugs.

Don’t let its name fool you, this 36-seat space is simply a cafe bar. Though its interior design alone can convince you to stay, it’s actually the carefully curated menu of detailed snacks and cocktails that’ll keep you there.

“A good day includes coffee and cocktails”, shared Adam Hijazi, hospitality veteran and co-owner of Lisbon Hotel.

“We wanted to create an unparalleled bar and café with simple operations and broad appeal. Lisbon Hotel will serve a globally-inspired menu that allows the quality of ingredients to shine. It’s well-travelled and simultaneously hyperlocal with a menu that has all vices covered.”

Dishes include Garlic Shrimp & Shishitos, Ricotta and Pear Toast with port poached pears and crispy prosciutto, Warm Chorizo with Green Sauce, and a Winter Citrus Salad with endive, radicchio, and spiced pecans.

Toronto’s The Cheese Boutique supplies some of its cured meats, cheeses, and preserves, which are paired perfectly with its rotating cocktail menu.

Whether you’re there in the day, enjoying freshly roasted coffee, or in the evening, enjoying a Martini, Lisbon Hotel surely serves as an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

It’s time to check out this latest spot in Corktown.
