Final winter blast? Vancouver could see up to 10 cm of snow & here’s when

Well, Vancouver, we might be in for another blast of snow before February’s end. Along with a significant temperature drop by mid-week next week, the city is expected to see a bit of “light snow” across two days closer to the end of the month – which is sooner than you think.

According to The Weather Network, Vancouverites can expect the temperature to drop to just above freezing on Wednesday, February 22nd, and it will only get colder over the next couple of days. At least it’ll be sunny though!

And starting Sunday, February 26th, the city will be blanketed in white once more. Though fortunately, it won’t be anything like it was in December. All in all, Vancouver could see up to 10 cm of snow over the few days that snowfall is forecasted.

Looks like this is just the “wild ride” that TWN predicted in its recent national winter report. Throughout Canada, winter weather has been “sluggish” and February has seen pretty mild weather compared to the turbulent winters we’re used to.

However, it’s possible that March “out-snows February” – even in Western Canada.

“Yes, even Vancouver and coastal B.C. will be in a favourable setup to see accumulating snowfall at times,” states The Weather Network.

So, it’s time to prepare yourselves for cooler temps and snow, Vancouver. Stay safe out there!
