Festival season is around the corner, and Toronto has a new one to look forward to this year. Lavender Wild will debut in the city for the first time this June, just in time for Pride Month.
This one-day, all-ages festival will showcase a diverse range of 2SLGBTQ+ artists, musicians, and vendors at Toronto’s waterfront concert venue, RBC Echo Beach.
The festival was founded by the Festival Manager at Live Nation Canada, Alex Simpson, who create a space for the queer community to enjoy live music and to amplify marginalized voices.
“In a time when queer spaces have never been more in demand, the festival will provide a safe and interactive place for fans of all ages to enjoy musical performances, drag shows, food and local artistry,” said Live Nation in a press release shared with Curiocity.

The festival’s name is inspired by the colour lavender, which is a “historical symbol of resistance and empowerment.”
Lavender Wild will also hire members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, including market and food vendors, muralists, performers, and more.
The festival will occupy two stages at Echo Beach and will feature 22 acts in total, with Norwegian singer-songwriter girl in red as the headlining act.
Below is a complete list of the 2023 performers:
