We may not be in the most romantic city in the world this Valentine’s Day, but a romantic brunch at Ladurée might be the next best thing.

The world-renowned French luxury patisserie has announced its Valentine’s Day offerings at its Toronto and Vancouver locations.

Ladurée will offer a romantic experience of an afternoon tea service for two and set brunch and lunch menus at both its Yorkdale Shopping Centre and Robson Street boutiques, by reservation only.

Toronto is especially in luck because Ladurée’s Yorkdale Mall boutique and tea salon will be offering an exclusive Valentine’s Day version of its French toast.

“The signature sweet brioche will be served with a mango compote, vanilla ice cream, Chantilly cream and topped with pieces of raspberry macaron shell, passion fruit and finished off with a passion fruit juice pour,” the description says.

Vancouver is being treated to something extra special too, straight from its in-house pastry laboratory.

Ladurée’s executive pastry chefs from France will be bringing their limited-edition cakes only to Vancouver — the Ispahan cake and the Religieuse cake.

The Ispahan cake is made with a rose macaron biscuit and garnished with rose petal cream, fresh raspberries and lychees.

Religieuse is made with delicate choux pastry, a mango centre and filled with mélilot Chantilly, passion fruit, and decorated with raspberry marzipan.

Both the Toronto and Vancouver boutiques will have Ladurée’s full range of elegant, delicious pastries for Valentine’s Day, along with its Mon Chou collection of luxurious limited-edition macaron gift boxes.

Plus, you can add personalized messages to your macarons!

The lunch and brunch afternoon tea service will be offered for four days this February.
