Hoping to catch a flick this Monday? Landmark Cinemas, Cineplex and Calgary’s cheap theatre, Canyon Meadows, will all be open all weekend long.
Malls
Though we’d recommend checking their hours before heading out, Southcentre Mall, CrossIron Mills, CF Chinook Centre, CF Market Mall and The CORE Shopping Centre will all be open on September 4th.
The Landfill
Good news, errand-doers, the Landfill will also be open this year on Monday. Check out their hours here.
The Calgary Zoo

This long weekend, adrenaline-seekers and families looking to enjoy the sunshine can do so at Calaway Park between 10 am to 7 pm. Hold on tight and enjoy!

Grocery & Liquor Stores
Having a BBQ? Need milk or need to do a last-minute beer run? You’re in luck. Though (again) we’d recommend checking your local shop’s hours, most liquor and grocery stores will be open this Monday.

Views, views and more views. This Labour Day, check out the Calgary Tower, grab a bite to eat at Sky 360 and enjoy!

This Labour Day Calgarians will be able to visit several in-city museums like The Hangar Flight Museum and the Military Museum. Happy learning!

Go back in time this Labour Day at Heritage Park! Open between 10 am and 5 pm, Calgarians can check out old-timey buildings, shops and carnival rides.

Calgary Transit
While transit will be operational on Monday, C-Trains, buses and On Demand transport will run on their Sunday schedule! For more information on fares, schedules and service changes, please visit their website.
CLOSED
Impound Lots
As per their website, Calgary Parking Authority impound lots will be closed on September 4th this year. In addition, no payment is required for on-street parking, though holiday rates will be in effect at select parkades and select surface lots.
City-owned recreation facilities and leisure centres
Sorry, folks – but this Labour Day, indoor pools and fitness centres, arenas, arts centres, and the Calgary Soccer Centre will be closed in lieu of the Stat holiday. Leisure centres, however, will be open from 11 am to 5 pm.
Additionally, Glenmore Reservoir kayak & canoe rentals will be open from 9:30 am to 8 pm.
Post Offices
Whether it’s an Amazon return or an invitation – it’ll have to wait! This Labour Day (and every stat holiday) the post office will be closed.
Costco

GOVERNMENT OFFICES
From the passport office to the DMV, all government offices will be closed on Labour Day.
