He may not be a Raptor any longer, but Kyle Lowry definitely looks happy to be in Toronto again. Lowry recently made a trip to Toronto to attend a party hosted by Drake and seeing him back with the old crew definitely has us in our feels.

Lowry was one of several famous guests at the surprise party that Drake threw a few nights ago at Louix Louis in Toronto’s St. Regis Hotel for their mutual friend and associate Ajay Virmani, who was just inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Other celebrity guests included Tessa Virtue, Maverick Carter, and the Minister of National Defence of Canada Anita Anand.

The former Raptor wore a black suit for the occasion and had a giant grin on his face in every photo. With Drake and Fred VanVleet by his side, he had every reason to be in good spirits.

Virmani is also a longtime friend of Lowry’s — the two were photographed together in the cockpit of a plane way back in 2017.

Virmani was completely blown away by Drake’s surprise gesture. He posted several photos from the event on Instagram with the caption, “What a surprise… I can’t even begin to find the words…a few nights ago I walked into one of the most beautiful surprises of my life.”

“My dear friend & son [Drake] hosted a beautiful evening for me, my family & friends. Drake, your thoughtfulness & generosity has not changed in all these years. You are an inspiration,” Virmani wrote.

Virmani’s son Vinay claims that Drake is his dad’s “favourite son,” and thanked the rapper for the “legendary night full of love and surprises.”

Clearly, Drake loves to play host. Last month, the rapper hosted a star-studded event at his Toronto home where he and Kanye West squashed their beef.

Seeing Lowry in a Miami Heat jersey never gets any easier, but at least we can rest assured knowing that he plans to retire a Raptor.
