Mondays are rough but we’re here to make it a little bit better with the help of Kyle Lowry. ‘Mr.Raptor’ had some pretty sweet things to say about Toronto’s team in an interview with Marc Spears of The Undefeated. So if you’re ready to smile then keep on reading.

As you probably know, Lowry signed a three-year, $85 million contract with the Miami Heat this past August. It was part of a sign-and-trade with the Heat and one that was obviously emotional. Lowry had 9 seasons with the Raptors as the point guard, six all-star appearances, and helped the team win a 2019 championship.

In his interview with Spears, Lowry stated “Like I’ve said, and I’ll say it now, I will sign a one-day contract and I’ll retire as a Toronto Raptor. That is my everything.” Despite playing for a new team, Lowry still has a whole lot of love for Toronto and feels that he left the team in “a great place.” With that in mind, he expects his return to the city for the Raptors vs. Heat game on February 3rd, 2022 to be an emotional one.

Don’t worry, Lowry, you won’t be alone. We’ll all be early awaiting his return in what is sure to be a great game. Until then you can check out the Raptor’s game schedule here.
