Love should be celebrated in all forms no matter the day. Sadly, though, despite making major progress over the years, there’s still a long way to go, which is why events like the Calgary Pride Festival are necessary! For the 2SLGBTQ+ community, these next few weeks are important – but what’s equally as important is that allies take this opportunity to show their support – and you know what? Doing so can be incredibly fun.
One way to show your support is actually just by attending next Friday’s big WERK drag show, Saturday’s drag brunch, or Sunday’s high-energy tea – organized by the Concorde Group.
Featuring Ru Paul’s Drag Race icons and winners, Symone and Aquaria The Palace Theatre is proud to present the official pride week kick-off party!

The event, which will be hosted by Tynomi Banks, will be 18+ and also showcase the talents of Stephanie Prince, Farrah Nuff, Uropa, Dayna Hart and SNA – so don’t miss it!
Luckily, if you simply must skip out, there are two more opportunities to catch a couple of drag legends!
As we mentioned, next Saturday, you can still attend brunch headlined by Tynomi Banks and Synthia Kiss, or Sunday’s tea party – which will feature a solo Synthia Kiss in addition to performances by SNAP.
Interested? You can actually purchase your tickets at the link below – but please, also consider donating to Pride Calgary itself, or to one of the many incredible 2SLGBTQ+ organizations in YYC. They deserve it!
Have fun, be respectful and enjoy, friends! Love is love!
