This park in Quebec has scenic trails that leads past rivers & forests of yellow birch

The ultimate outdoor destination awaits! Quebec’s Jacques-Cartier National Park is home to the most beautiful valleys, rushing waters, and overall gorgeous scenic views. If you have yet to explore this work of nature, you’ll want to do it this fall, especially as the trees change to a stunning array of yellow, red, and orange. Here’s what to know.

Located just 30 minutes away from Quebec City, Jacques-Cartier National Park spans 67,000 sq. acres and has over 100 km of hiking trails. It’s considered one of the region’s major attractions.

According to Qubece Cite, it’s a hot spot in the summer thanks to its mini-raft adventures, Inner tube, paddle surfing, fishing, and much more.

When fall hits, this peaceful natural setting offers some of the best fall views whether you’re on a mountain bike across the valley, canoeing or kayaking down the river, or embarking on a hike.

There’s a lot of ground to cover at the park so don’t expect to conquer it all in one day. After all, there are over 100 km of hiking trails and over 30 km of bike trails to enjoy.

Reach one of the many lookout points scattered along the trails and feast your eyes on the beauty below. Absolutely breathtaking.

In the winter, you can also enjoy snowshoeing, hiking, Nordic skiing, backcountry Hok skiing, kick sledding, fat biking, and more.

Fees

According to Sépaq, Jacques-Cartier National Park requires a fee to enter and it’s only $9.55 after tax for adults aged 18 and up. Children are free.

It’s truly an all-season park so don’t feel bad if you can’t make it this fall. You’ll be sure to enjoy it to its fullest no matter the weather.
